Buying vs. Rent to Own Homes
Zachary may already be enticing you with its southern charm and mild weather. But financing a home can be a long process, requiring a down payment and pre-qualification. However, many are taking advantage of rent-to-own arrangements, where tenants agree to live in a home for a specified period of time and, after that time expires, they have the option to buy. A portion of each month’s rent goes toward a down payment to eventually buy the house. It’s easier and doesn’t require a large outlay of cash, and renters can look forward to becoming proud homeowners.
Summary If you long for quiet, small-town life but still want all the amenities of a big city, Zachary may be just the place for you. A mild climate, good schools, competitive cost of living, and low crime rate complete the picture, making Zachary an attractive choice for settling and putting down roots.
